Ogun APC Youth League Urges Young People to Build Capacity for Future Leadership

Youths in Ogun State have been advised to take advantage of opportunities to acquire skills, knowledge, and experiences that will prepare them as valuable contributors to society and future leaders.

The call was made by Olamide David, Director of Media and Publicity for the All Progressives Congress (APC) Youth League in Ogun State, during a radio programme monitored by our correspondent in Abeokuta.

Speaking on the role of young people in shaping the future of the state, David emphasised that empowerment through personal growth is key to reducing unemployment, strengthening leadership capacity, and ensuring active participation in politics and governance.

“If we don’t build capacity today, we cannot lead tomorrow. The future of Ogun State and Nigeria rests on how prepared the younger generations are,” he stated.

David urged youths to believe in themselves, get involved in community development, and work collectively towards the growth of the state.

He further explained that the APC Youth League has consistently mobilised young people across Ogun State to play constructive roles in both political and developmental processes. According to him, the organisation has also promoted dialogue between the government and citizens while supporting initiatives that enhance the welfare of the people.
