Abiodun’s Aide Urges Tech Companies to Invest in Ogun State

The Senior Special Assistant to the Ogun State Governor on Information Technology, Hon. Akeem Oluseye, has urged technology firms across the globe to take advantage of the fast-growing digital and industrial potential in Ogun State.

In a statement issued on Monday, Oluseye described Ogun as “Nigeria’s emerging Silicon Valley,” highlighting that Governor Dapo Abiodun’s administration has built one of the most business-friendly environments in the country, attracting both local and international investors.

According to him, “This is the right time for tech investors to move into Ogun State. Governor Abiodun is building a smart, technology-driven economy where innovation meets infrastructure.”

Oluseye noted that the governor’s recent investment mission to China had already caught the attention of major global tech firms impressed by the state’s reforms and development vision. With the Gateway International Airport, the proposed Olokola Deep Seaport, and several industries springing up, he said Ogun State is now strategically positioned for global business connectivity.

He emphasised that the state under Governor Abiodun offers unmatched opportunities for investors seeking rapid expansion, a conducive business environment, and access to both local and international markets.

Governor Abiodun had recently launched the ‘Window on America’ initiative — an ICT project by the American Consulate in collaboration with GFA Technologies at the Ogun State Tech Hub, Kobape Road, Abeokuta.

He explained that the project is a result of a visionary public-private partnership between the state government, GFA Technologies, and the US Mission, designed to serve as a bridge between young people’s aspirations and global opportunities.

Abiodun added that the state recognises the transformative power of digital innovation in driving economic growth, creating jobs, and improving the quality of life for residents.

He further stated, “This understanding has led us to make significant investments in our digital infrastructure, from fibre optic connectivity to digital literacy and innovation clusters across the state. This initiative represents more than just a space; it is a platform for knowledge exchange, skill development, and collaboration between our youths and their global counterparts. This is where global ideas meet local ambitions.”
