AIYEPE CENTRAL MOSQUE: LARGEST MOSQUE IN SOUTHERN NIGERIA

The Construction of Aiyepe central Mosque started in 1987 and today, the mosque stands tall and towers like a colossus amongst its comparisons. The mosque has the capacity to accommodate over 5000 and cost upon completion was put at Two Billion Naira. 

This gigantic mosque was built by the Muslims in the community with debt free. The Mosque is built on a land area of 30,000 square meters with the main mosque covering 6,400 square meters and ablution center on 850 square meters. 

The prayer area covers 2,700 square meters with four minarets, one of which is 30 meters long with 64 windows.
