Dangote Donates 80,000 Bags of Rice to Lagos Residents

The Aliko Dangote Foundation (ADF) has initiated the distribution of 80,000 10kg bags of rice to vulnerable residents in Lagos state. Aliko Dangote, President of the Dangote Group and Chairman of the foundation, highlighted that this donation is part of a larger effort to distribute over one million 10kg bags of rice to reach vulnerable individuals in all 774 local government areas of Nigeria. The distribution event, which took place in Alausa, reflects the foundation’s commitment to compassion and solidarity.

Dangote emphasized that this rice distribution complements the foundation’s daily distribution of 12,500 loaves of bread in Lagos, aiming to alleviate the challenges faced by vulnerable communities across the state.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos state commended Dangote for his numerous initiatives aimed at alleviating the suffering of Nigerians. Sanwo-Olu praised Dangote for demonstrating compassion towards the needy in society. He noted that the distribution of 80,000 bags of 10kg rice illustrates the foundation’s commitment to prioritizing the welfare of the people over profit and wealth accumulation.
