DEEP CORRUPTION DISVOVERED IN OGUN STATE GOVERNMENT ( Video)
In the early hours of Sunday November 3rd 2019, a member of the AMORAN Caretaker Transport Committee in Ogun East, Alhaji Oseni Taiwo aka Alhaji Parie, raised alarm that the IRS tickets which had been on sale all along were fake. In swift reaction, the observation was reported at the Sagamu Police Division and taken up seriously. In its raid same morning, officers of the police division made arrests and recovered the IRS tickets on sale which were later confirmed by the AMORAN State Chairman; Wale Ajiboye aka Wale MTN, and staff of the Ogun State Internal Revenue Service as fake in its entirety. Further investigation revealed that the fake tickets were printed and issued by the Barr Sunday Adeniyi led Ogun State Interim Transport Committee, and were sold by one Nurudeen Aina Alowonle (and his cohorts) who currently is a member of the AMORAN Caretaker Committee (a subcommittee of the OGSG Interim Committee). In effort to save his face, it is on record that Barr Sunday Adeniyi called the Divisional Police Officer of the Sagamu Police Division, claiming he had directive from Gov Dapo Abiodun that the ticket racketeers be released and that the case be closed.
Pray tell, as a legal practitioner, and as Chairman of the Interim Transport Committee, one would have expected disciplinary action be taken by Barr Sunday Adeniyi upon confirmation of fraud under his nose and in the name of the Ogun State Government. However, undercover investigation revealed that Barr Adeniyi and some members of the Ogun State Interim Transport Committee are part of the fraud in perpetuity, and of course have rather chosen to cover up their shameful and ignominious acts.
This fraud is in addition to several reports of extortion from aspirants by members of the Transport Committee. Way and manner with which Barr Sunday Adeniyi and other members of the Transport Committee take ‘cash’ from aspirants for leadership of Transport Unions is beyond marvelling. Records of several meetings held where the committee leadership told aspirants point blank that the highest bidders only shall be recommended and promoted by the committee in its reports to the Governor.
Wonder if these are happening under the directives of the Governor or the committee members keep acting in isolation without the knowledge of the Governor.
These days, one can only marvel at the kinds of reports and activities going on under the leadership of a Governor who preaches anti corruption, equity, justice and fairness.
