Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Warns Against Protest in South-East Amid Economic Hardship

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) hereby issues a stern warning against any protest in the South-East region regarding the current economic hardship in Nigeria. The group emphasizes that any Nigerian agent who attempts to organize such a protest in Biafraland will face regrettable consequences.

In a press statement released by IPOB spokesman Emma Powerful, the group asserts that the economic challenges facing Nigeria should be dealt with by Nigerians and not by Biafrans. IPOB states that the people of Biafra have endured mistreatment and exclusion in Nigerian affairs, including being denied voting rights and subjected to violence and intimidation.

IPOB further cautions that organizing protests against economic hardship in the South-East will endanger the lives of Ndigbo. The group cites the #EndSARS protest, during which the Federal Government accused Ndigbo of attempting to destabilize Nigeria through violence.

The group urges Ndigbo to refrain from participating in any protest related to Nigeria’s economic hardship, emphasizing that Biafrans are no longer interested in Nigerian affairs. IPOB stresses that the current economic challenges are a result of Nigeria’s historical injustices against Biafrans and should be left for Nigerians to address.

IPOB advises that anyone wishing to organize a protest against Nigeria’s hardship should do so in Northern or Western Nigeria, as the South-East is dealing with state-sponsored insecurity, kidnappings, and killings by government agencies and agents, including terrorists.

The Eastern Security Network (ESN) is prepared to confront any government agents attempting to organize hunger protests in Biafraland. IPOB calls on its intelligence unit to be vigilant and identify any individuals or groups planning to destabilize Biafraland through protests.

In conclusion, IPOB reaffirms its commitment to the struggle for Biafra’s freedom and urges Biafrans to remain steadfast. The group warns that any person or group found organizing hunger protests in Biafraland will face the full force of ESN operatives and IPOB volunteers.
