Mother Allegedly Abandons Newborn Baby Outside Ogun Clinic

A newborn baby was reportedly abandoned by an unidentified mother in front of Blessed Clinic in Oru Ijebu, located in the Ijebu North Local Government Area of Ogun State. The incident occurred around 6:45 a.m. on Friday.

The Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola, confirmed the incident. Speaking to Peoples Talk on Monday, Odutola revealed that the clinic’s owner discovered the infant and immediately provided urgent medical care before notifying the Oru Police Division.

Odutola stated that an investigation is underway and efforts are ongoing to locate the child’s mother. She said, “The medical doctor in charge of the hospital alerted our division about the child.”

The police have urged members of the public with any useful information to come forward as the search for the mother continues.
