Senator Ned Nwoko has spoken out following a viral video showing his wife, popular actress Regina Daniels, in a state of distress, claiming that her recent outburst was caused by drug and alcohol abuse.
In a lengthy statement and a short video posted on his Instagram handle (@princenednwoko) on Sunday, the senator alleged that Regina’s struggles with substance use have been the major source of the crisis in their marriage.
“Regina was not always like this. Her current battle with drugs and alcohol abuse is the root of our problem. She must continue her rehabilitation programme, or I fear for her life and safety,” Nwoko wrote.
He accused the actress of going on a violent rampage in his absence, attacking domestic staff and destroying property within their home.
“She slapped and hit three staff members in the past 48 hours and destroyed property, including cars and windows, for no just cause,” he alleged.
According to Nwoko, Regina had relocated to a place where she could have “unrestricted access to drugs,” despite his efforts to help her. He claimed to have offered her two rehabilitation options — one in Asokoro and another in Jordan — to help her recovery.
The senator also blamed some of Regina’s close associates for worsening the situation, describing them as “drug suppliers.”
“While I took Moon to the hospital, a scene of chaos unfolded at home, orchestrated by Sammy, Regina’s main drug supplier. Another known supplier of drugs to Regina is the tiny evil devil called Ann,” he alleged.
Nwoko’s statement came shortly after a viral video of Regina Daniels shouting during a heated confrontation circulated online, drawing public concern. In the footage, the actress could be heard saying:
“In Ned Nwoko’s house, I am nothing, but in my own house, I am a Queen. Not again. I can’t stand the violence, it’s too much.”
Reacting to the controversy, Regina’s brother, Ojeogwu Samuel Danhillman, popularly known as Sammy West, took to Instagram to accuse Nwoko of physically assaulting his sister, vowing to protect her.
“Anywhere wey man dey beat woman, whether na my sister or not, I go fight with my blood,” he wrote.
As of now, Regina Daniels and her representatives have not publicly responded to Nwoko’s claims, leaving the true cause of the altercation uncertain.
Regina Daniels and Ned Nwoko married in 2019, and their union — often in the spotlight due to their 40-year age difference — has continued to draw public attention and debate.
