Ogun West Groans As Bad Roads Takeover
A former House of Representatives member, Hon. Abiodun Akinlade has expressed concern over the deplorable state of roads in Ogun West Senatorial District of the state, saying many roads in Ogun West, comprising the Yewa-Awori extraction are fast becoming impassable, causing untold hardship for residents and motorists.

He urged Governor Ibikunle Amosun to urgently fix them. He spoke yesterday during the inauguration of a skills acquisition centre in Agosasa, Ipokia Local Government Area of Ogun State.
According to him, the Owode-Ilaro road and other important roads in the zone had become an eyesore. The former lawmaker said the state had continued to lose huge revenue due to the dilapidated road infrastructure, expressing regret that some of the roads were not rehabilitated by the state government due to “local politics.”
He said: “When I was in the House of Representatives, I made attempts to repair it three times. We put money in the budget but because of the local politics being played by the state, they did not allow that thing to come to reality.
“I also want to appeal to the governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun that he should come to our aid. There is a policy; if a government undertakes a federal road, the Federal Government always reimburses the state government. We have seen it in Ogun State.
