OTUNBA AKINYEMI BERATES SAGAMU COUNCIL CHAIR OVER INSECURITY.
Today marks a new political era, especially in Remo and particularly Sagamu Local Government Area as D.A Progressive Leaders meet today Thursday 22nd November, 2023 at Town Hall, Ewusi road in Sagamu Local Government Area; several months after the success and victory of His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun MFR, CON and other elective offices at the polls and Election Tribunals.
The body, led by Otunba Kolawole Akinyemi aka Tonight, was organize to mobilize and also to cater for the disadvantaged members of the All Progressive Congress (APC), across the 35 Wards in Remo Federal Constituency.
Otunba Akinyemi expressed his gratitude to God for preserving the lives of all and sundry at august meeting. He then, thanked His Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun MFR, CON for his showing leadership and financial support during his ailing period. He further opined that, the Governor personally took responsibility of his hospital bills, and he is grateful for this.
He however, use the medium to assure members present of even distribution of dividend of democracy by His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun MFR, CON; across nooks and crannies of Remo Federal Constituency and Ogun State.
He then concluded by expressing his displeasure on the level of insecurity being experienced in Sagamu axis lately, due to cults activities as self inflicted; particularly by those in the corridor of power and most especially Sagamu Local Government Council Chairman. He also further stressed that, the Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remo land, has no hand in the fracas ditto the Governor of Ogun State.
He further opined that, this event was a spill over event of unwarranted neglect and lackadaisical attitude of Sagamu Local Government Chairman; who deliberately took revenue jobs at different points. For instance the one opposite ADEESO FILLING STATION in Ogijo and BESIDE COCA COLA junction in Sagamu town. All these he collected from the boys for his personal enrichment and that of his cronies. Despite drawing monthly salary, allowances and security votes, from our common patrimony.
Otunba Akinyemi, then advised the council chairman to do the needful and return those revenue points, e.g “scraps” popularly called OGUN NA MONEY; back to the people as a means of creating jobs for the youths, since that was the only means available for them to earn their daily bread. We need to put an end this hideous situation.
In his words “this would further mitigate and also ameliorate the boys suffering that led to this ugly trend” he stressed.
He concluded by advising the youths to maintain peace and be law abiding as the Governor is doing everything humanly possible to secure their future.
Also present at the meeting were Hon. Mojisola Dabiri, Dr. Otasanya, Hon. Lola Soyombo, Hon. Babajide aka ikoko, Mrs. Folake Solarin, Mr. Muraina Saula to mention a few. In their words, they all expressed gratitude to God and pledged their loyalty to the Governor; and also urged members of the group to keep praying for Otunba Akinyemi sound health, because he will ensure that each member benefits handsomely from the group.
