Police Arrest 43 Suspects in Midnight Raid in Lagos

The Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the Lagos State Police Command conducted a successful raid on criminal hideouts in Oshodi and its environs, leading to the arrest of 43 suspects. The raid, carried out overnight, targeted notorious spots in Anthony, Bolade Oshodi, and Oshodi Terminus based on credible intelligence about criminal activities in those areas.

During the operation, a semi-automatic pistol was recovered in Opebi, Ikeja, in a separate incident. This discovery was made following information received from members of the public. Additionally, two 9mm calibre cartridges and one expended ammunition were recovered during the discreet operation.

The arrested suspects underwent thorough screening by the RRS Commander, CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi, and 43 individuals were found culpable. They are set to be charged to court without delay. The police command in Lagos State continues its efforts to rid the state of criminal elements, ensuring the safety and security of residents.
