President Tinubu Condemns Massacre of Army Officers and Soldiers in Delta, Vows Justice

President Bola Tinubu has condemned the tragic attack in Okuama community, Delta State, which resulted in the deaths of 22 officers and soldiers of the Nigerian Army. The soldiers were reportedly on a peace mission, responding to a communal crisis between Okuama and Okoloba communities.

Expressing his deep sorrow over the incident, President Tinubu vowed that those responsible for the attack would be brought to justice. He reiterated his administration’s commitment to maintaining peace in every part of the country and ensuring the safety of all citizens.

The President extended his heartfelt condolences to the families of the fallen soldiers, their colleagues, and loved ones. He praised the bravery, courage, and patriotism of the servicemen and women who lost their lives in the line of duty, describing them as heroes who had made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.

President Tinubu assured that the Defence Headquarters and Chief of Defence Staff have been given full authority to ensure that those responsible for the attack are held accountable. He emphasized that any attack on members of the armed forces is a direct attack on the nation and will not be tolerated.

The President reiterated his government’s commitment to achieving peace and tranquillity in every part of Nigeria, pledging to continue working towards this goal. He concluded by invoking God’s blessings on the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the members of the armed forces, praying for their continued safety.
