Silva’s Late Strike Sends Man City to FA Cup Final

Bernardo Silva’s late goal propelled Manchester City into the FA Cup final with a 1-0 victory over Chelsea at Wembley. Despite being outplayed for much of the match, City managed to secure the win, with Silva scoring in the 84th minute.

City, still reeling from their Champions League exit against Real Madrid, struggled to find their rhythm. Missing Erling Haaland due to injury, they found it hard to break through Chelsea’s defense. Chelsea, on the other hand, failed to capitalize on their chances, with Nicolas Jackson guilty of missing several opportunities.

The win provides a much-needed boost for City as they aim for a Premier League and FA Cup double. They will face either Manchester United or Coventry in the final on May 25. For Chelsea, the defeat prolongs their wait for a domestic trophy, with manager Mauricio Pochettino still seeking his first silverware in England.

The match was also notable for being Cole Palmer’s chance to shine against his former club. However, despite his efforts, it was ultimately City’s resilience and Silva’s late strike that secured their place in the final.
