The Overcoming Faith; New creation gospel mission 2024 National youth convention theme
New Creation Gospel Mission is pleased to announce the commencement of its National Youth Convention, which began on the 28th of March and will run until the 31st. The theme for this year’s convention is “The Overcoming Faith” based on 1 John 5:4.
The convention aims to bring together young people from across the nation to empower, inspire, and equip them with the tools they need to navigate life’s challenges with faith and resilience. Attendees can expect a series of engaging sessions, workshops, and keynote addresses from seasoned speakers and leaders in the faith community.
“We are excited to host this year’s National Youth Convention,” said Pastor Rotimi, coordinator of New Creation Gospel Mission. “Our theme, ‘The Overcoming Faith,’ is particularly relevant in today’s world, where young people face numerous challenges. We believe that through this convention, attendees will be empowered to overcome every obstacle and walk in victory.”
The convention will feature various activities, including worship sessions, prayer meetings, and interactive discussions on topics such as faith, leadership, and personal development. Participants will also have the opportunity to network with like-minded individuals and build lasting connections.
In his welcome address, OLUROTIMI IDOWU, National Youth Coordinator, said: “We give you all the glory; we give you honour. The Almighty God has kept us alive to witness another Easter period to celebrate His death and resurrection. 365 days had rolled by in the twinkling of our eyes, and we appreciate Him for journey mercies for those of us that are here already and many more that are on their way, alongside our brethren that are joining online.”
“In the course of the year, many testimonies were recorded varying from our students who graduated from various institutions of learning to so many that gained admissions. Marriages were conducted, and more of our youths got filled with the Holy Spirit. Our campus fellowships at Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye, Ogun State, and Federal University Oye Ekiti are waxing stronger by the day as other God’s Generals were being raised to conquer more territories for His kingdom. We trust the Lord that for this New Year, more Campus fellowships will be inaugurated.”
“By His grace, we will be considering ‘The Overcoming Faith.’ Under this convention, the Lord is leading us to learn from 1 John 5 while we focus more on verse 4. The Lord has a reason why He had designed you in a unique manner and despite life challenges (which are bound to happen), He has made a way of escape to as many that depended on Him. Every challenge faced has some opportunities embedded in it, and victory is certain for those that believed in Him.”
“The Lord has prepared His ministers who will show to us that Faith is a key attribute of His kingdom and without it, no one can please God. Your responsibility is to prepare your heart to receive from Him and never allow any distractions throughout the Convention. Once again, you are welcome to His presence. Shalom.”
