
National leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu, recently visited the family of the late former Governor of Ondo State, Olusegun Mimiko Akeredolu, in Owo, Ondo State, to pay his respects.
During the visit, Tinubu expressed deep sorrow over the passing of the former governor, stating that Akeredolu’s legacy of courage and fearlessness will endure forever. He described him as a “fearless fighter” who was committed to good governance and the welfare of his people.
The Olowo Oba Ajibade Ogunoye, while welcoming Tinubu, expressed gratitude for the visit. He praised Akeredolu as a true democrat who was dedicated to democratic principles and practices.

In addition to visiting Akeredolu’s family, Tinubu also paid a visit to Pa Reuben Fasoranti, the leader of the pan-Yoruba organization Afenifere, to offer his condolences.
Tinubu’s visit to Ondo State was marked by a warm reception, with Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State and Governor Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti State, along with other government officials and politicians, welcoming him at the Akure Airport. A presidential parade was organized at the airport terminal to honor Tinubu’s arrival in the Sunshine State.
