We have informed Mohbad’s dad to come for his body but he insists on conducting DNA-Police
The police in Lagos stated that Joseph Aloba, father of late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba aka Mohbad, hasn’t applied to collect his son’s corpse despite being informed he can do so anytime.
Mohbad’s mother claimed in a video that the singer’s body had been released to his father but he hadn’t agreed for it to be reburied.
Investigation revealed that the police completed the autopsy and informed the father he could retrieve the body, but he hasn’t initiated the process.
An anonymous police source confirmed to popular blogger, LIB that only the father can request the release of the corpse and assured immediate action upon application.
The father reportedly insists on a DNA test for the paternity of Mohbad’s son, Liam, before claiming the body, causing a delay in the burial.
Mohbad was initially buried on September 13 but later exhumed due to public demand for an autopsy; the results haven’t been disclosed, and reburial is pending due to the ongoing family dispute.
