Woman Arrested for Allegedly Stabbing Tenant to Death in Ogun

A 32-year-old woman, identified as Modinat Saka, has been arrested by the Ogun State Police Command for allegedly stabbing her tenant, Ganiu Abdullahi, to death during a domestic dispute in the Agbado area of the state.

The tragic incident reportedly occurred around 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Ifelodun Street, Agbado. According to police sources, an argument between Modinat and her 40-year-old tenant escalated into a violent altercation inside the victim’s room.

Eyewitness accounts revealed that during the fight, Ganiu allegedly attacked Modinat with a piece of broken glass, causing an injury to her hand. In retaliation, Modinat was said to have stabbed him in the chest with a broken bottle. The victim was confirmed dead at the scene due to the severity of the injury.

Police operatives promptly arrived at the scene, where they secured forensic evidence and documented the area with photographs. The deceased’s body was later transported to Life Channel Morgue along Olambe Alausa Road for autopsy.

The suspect, Modinat Saka, is currently in police custody and will be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID) in Abeokuta for further investigation and possible prosecution.
